I just purchased the printed book Deep Learning for Coders with fastai and PyTorch: AI Applications Without a PhD. The link in the book redirects to the course at https://course.fast.ai. The book mentions there are instructions on the site for setting up the workbooks with GPU “providers”. I created an account with Paperspace but am not sure what to do next since the fastai site seems to have diverged from the book.

Yes actually the website doesn’t show all the details of GPU servers (although it didn’t diverge from the book I only did part 1 so far and all the videos are based on chapters of the book). What I suggest for you is the watch the first few sessions of the live coding sessions Jeremy did. You will learn how to properly set up your working environment for machine learning including how to set up paperspace.

However, it will be better to primarily follow the videos on the new site, and supplement those videos with the book. The new videos contain a lot more new and relevant information.
