Yes, we are doing the later lessons. Next notebook is 13_convolutions.ipynb.

We are meeting on Mondays now, the link to the google calendar is a few messages above.

Hi Everyone,

I’m just starting the new version of the Deep Learning (Part 1 - 2020) class and I’m guessing that there will be others that are just starting it as well, since my understanding is that it was just released the the general web in the past couple of weeks.

Would it make sense to start a new Pacific Time Zone study group (on Zoom) for those who are at a similar stage of study? If anyone is interested, or if anyone thinks that this would be a bad idea for some reason, please let me know!

Quick background on me… I have taken a couple of college classes in computer science and I have a few years of professional software development experience but it’s out of date (Visual Basic). I went through Part 1 of the previous class but I didn’t “go deep” into the extra work and exercises to really master the material. I’m planning to go much deeper this time around.

Remaining members in the Monday group are planning on joining in the above thread. We also plan on continuing our study group, but we are almost at the end, so it would be hard to join at this point.

Our bi-weekly thursday meetings are a bit unique, in that they are more to allow people to present, either their work or things they have learned. It is a great way to share with others.

Hi everyone, those who continued to join the meeting in December likely noticed that I didn’t attend.

Unfortunately we had a family emergency which meant we had to travel to Europe and I was distracted by that in December.

Tonight I plan to join the call again but also plan to join it a little less frequently going forward as workload is growing. Once the DL Pt2 course starts I will jump back in!

For those not joining tonight, thanks for being a great community this past year. Really enjoyed everyone’s excitement, smarts and nerdiness :wink: And hopefully we’ll meet again in Pt 2.

Hopefully will see some familiar faces tonight!

It looks like today didn’t work out for the group as I didn’t see others join.

I’ll keep the meeting on calendar for next time.
