I started to learn about Deep Learning back in 2018 with fastai courses and kaggle competitions. Today I’m proud to share with you an article I’ve been working on over the last year that is now published. Is about “A deep learning approach for mapping and dating burned areas using temporal sequences of satellite images”. I also share the code, pretrained models and data used for training and validation. There are a lot of research ideas to pursue from here as this is the first work applying deep learning to the problem of burned areas mapping and dating so far as I know.
