Replacing laptop - VR ready and AI!

I used my MacBook mainly to take notes during this last class and have a PC build at home with a TitanX. Now that my MacBook totally failed and I had been contemplating a VR-ready laptop PC for quite sometime, I’m trying to figure out what would be good to also run AI? I know that Prof Jeremy Howard mentioned the Surface Pro (performance) for AI, but trying to see what would be a good fit here. Most folks keep recommending Nvidia's latest Max-Q spec announced during CES. Any thoughts and recommendationhttps://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce/products/10series/laptops/max-q/?

I’m going with this one https://www.hpshopping.in/laptops-tablets/omen-by-hp-17-an009tx-2fk66pa-1.html

I’ve requested it from college already, might take me another month to get my hands on it.

Reason:

  • M.2 SSD
  • 32 GIG Upgrade option
  • GTX 1070

Good alternatives: Acer Helios 300 (Comparison: SSD, RAM are equivalent, but the GPU is a 1060)

You might want to checkout the dell Inspiron 5000 series (late 2017) or Other options with Hp.

Ones I don’t recommend
MSI: N/A in my country
Alienware: Way too expensive.
