Note that the latest fastai2 requires PyTorch 1.6. If you want to use an earlier version of PyTorch (e.g. I think Kaggle and Colab haven’t upgraded yet) use 0.0.20 or earlier.

Alternatively, you can install PyTorch 1.6 in Colab (and maybe Kaggle too) using the instructions in this link:

Heads up for Colab users: To use PyTorch 1.6 in colab, you need to do the following (and when installing fastai): !pip install torch==1.6.0+cu101 torchvision==0.7.0+cu101 -f https://download.pytorch.org/whl/torch_stable.html (then of course pip install fastai2, etc) If you’re running CUDA 10.2 then you just need to do !pip install torch torchvision --upgrade
