I have been researching rules on Kaggle about using datasets for a purpose to write a blog with examples/references to Kaggle datasets.
And it looks like it is not allowed even for closed competitions:
Unless otherwise permitted by the terms of the Competition Website, Participants must use the Data solely for the purpose and duration of the Competition, including but not limited to reading and learning from the Data, analyzing the Data, modifying the Data and generally preparing your Submission and any underlying models and participating in forum discussions on the Website.
But it is not clear about general datasets which are being uploaded by people to Kaggle. I couldn’t find any explicit restriction for those.
Have anyone used Kaggle datasets for blogging outside Kaggle?
