I am Aman Dalmia from Bangalore, India. I started ML when I was in my final year of undergraduate, since then it is been a wonderful journey of 3 years. In this journey, I did work on projects related to ML and DL.
Currently, I am working in the area of NLP where I am focusing on a knowledge base search engine where I am trying to extract knowledge from various sources, in order to make a better search in respective areas.
From this course, I would definitely get like-minded people who are working in this areas, along with a different direction of to look at a given problem, finally a live lecture with Prof @jeremy
Hi. Iām Bhuvana from Chennai. I am new to machine learning. I have finsihed Machine Learning course by AndrewNg. I have gone through the Deep learning Part1 course. The approach of fast.ai courses attracted me and here i am all excited for the new course.
Iām here to improve my machine learning knowledge and probably build a production system in the area of NLP. I have taken quite a number of courses on ML, DL and Data Science and equally done a greet deal of reading. I want to move past this initial stage and really get some hands-on experience and eventually transition careers to this new field.
Hi, Iāam Leonardo from Colombia. Iāve been struggling with data science for climate and hydrology, I took all data science JHU specialization in Coursera and worked at first with R for time series analysis, but migrated almost completely to python 2 years ago and started to work with NN, I was part of the first program of Deep Learning Nanodegree foundations in Udacity, but lacked enough python proficiency and a lot of core knowledge in computational linear algebra and optimization. in the last year I did ALL and really mean ALL Datacamp python courses, MIT Linear Algebra and redo by myself the first 2 modules of the DLNF nanodegree, at the same time taking Dr Thomas Computational Linear algebra, and the first 9 Lectures of Stanford CS231n. Since the last week Iāve been working Fastai ML course. I feel Iām ready to start applying what Iāve just been dreaming the last couple of years, considering that Iāve been postponing application because I always think there is some theory i need to go back. Eager to learn from the best and share with others with expiriences more or less similar to mine.
I am Aayush, and I am working as a Lead data scientist in Land OāLakes, Inc. My current work involves evangelizing and implementing data science solutions in verticals like agricultural technology, CPG, e-commerce and animal feed business solving a variety of problems like Customer 360, marketing mix attribution, Up-sell/Cross-sell initiatives, personalization, and machine vision. Before that, I have experience working in various verticals like pharmaceuticals, retail, e-commerce, and ride-sharing business model. I am also a Kaggle competitions expert and a moderator & rank 3rd on www.analyticsvidhya.com. I have done the v1 of fast.ai course(both parts) and excited to learn more about the latest and greatest in deep learning plus the new fastai library. You can find more about me on my website or read some of my blogs on medium. Feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn.
Letās make the world a better place by ethical use of AI technologies. Cheers and happy learning!
I went over the v2 version of dl1/dl2/ml1 videos over summer but didnāt have a chance to do much coding myself, pending fastai and pytorch rewrite was also a factor in not wanting to get into something thatās going to be discarded partially. So I understand things in theory, but need a lot more practice.
Looking forward to round v3!
Thank you Jeremy for allowing so many of us to participate! And amazing work on fastai!
Hello I am Keyur. I am a Business analyst and starting my cultivate my passion towards deep learning when I was pursing my final year computer engineering degree. I have taken courses from Andrew Ngās machine learning course, deeplearning.ai, fastai 2107 course. I have Also worked on some of the kaggle competitions for image classification such as Dog breed identification, plant seedlings classification, Dogs vs cats, monkey breed classification etc. I am currently working on Image segmentation task using FCN model. I am really excited for this course so as it helps me to advance and dive deep in my passion of deep learning.
I am Akshay Penmatcha (@akypen) a Data Scientist from Boston. I have previously worked on Image processing and remote sensing topics during my Masters and have been away from the domain for more than an year now. Wanted to get back into the Deep Learning field and gear up my learning and learn the state of the art Deep learning techniques. I was suggested about this course by @raghavab1992 and @darshanbagul and subsequently watched a couple of videos from the previous years. Really amazed by the content and am looking forward to doing it hands on with the class this year.
Iām Siddhant. Iām a full stack software engineer, slowly transitioning to become a Data Scientist. I got actively involved with Deep Learning last year after taking fast.ai course and have worked on a few computer vision projects since then.
I really like the teaching methodology by Rachel and Jeremy for this course and keep on recommending it to people trying to get into DL.
@aakashns and I run a Data Science meetup group in Bangalore. We are planning organize a few meetups around the v3 course. If you are looking for study group in Bangalore, consider joining.
Looking forward to learn more and contribute back.
I lead an R&D team for a company near Toronto, Canada. I have a CS degree from many years ago but have been engineering and in management ever since. I find ML/DL fascinating and spending the time getting back to my CS roots is very enjoyable - Iām looking at how I can bring this new world into my company and my product-line.
Iāve been studying ML for about the past 12 months - completed Andrew Ngās ML course like many others. I was half way through part1v2 when I heard about this opportunity for the Live version so I stopped and quickly switched to the fast.ai ML course (4 sessions to get through before Live starts!).
I blog and have written a few articles for other sites mostly around tinkering with Raspberry Pis and Cloud tech. I recently wrote up an article on how to build a Serverless Machine Learning Classifier SlackBot using AWS and a simple bag-of-words SVM model from text in Jira tickets. (Part 2 in-progress) http://jeremyblythe.blogspot.com/
Really excited to learn Live and contribute where I can.
Iām Will. Iāve been working in a broad range of areas within ML for the past few years. Iām in my last semester of the OMSCS through GA Tech doing the ML specialization which has been fantastic for anyone looking for an excellent masterās program which is inexpensive and doesnāt require time off from work. Professionally, Iāve done some work in deep learning for malware classification, but have recently been more focused on NLP and graph theoretic stuff.
Iāve watched the old version of this course in the past, looking forward to working with V1 of the library and getting to interact with the class live!
Iām a data scientist at a large insurance company in Columbus, Ohio. I have a PhD in physics but didnāt get into ML/DL until after I graduated. I donāt have much DL experience yet and I want to build confidence by going through this course. Joining an interactive group like this is a bit out of my comfort zone, but I hope to embrace it.
Hello there! Iām Victor Arias, currently a Master Student in National University of Colombia in Bogota. My research is focused on deep learning, especially Medical Imaging Analysis. Iām interested in how develop very deep 3D convolutional architectures for segmentation and classification and apply them to medical image analysis benchmarks.
my name is Benedikt, german living in the netherlands. Working as a Technical Consultant. I did the 1st 2 classes and now hope for a good repitition and interaction with others. Am organising a local meetup group to learn and connect with others.
Really looking forward ( even though I have to stand up in the middle of the night ;-)) to these classes !
Hi all,
Iām a developer for a small start up based in the bay area. Been a fan of the course for the last three years. Looking forward to getting better at ML/DL and also contributing to the community if I can. Canāt wait to work with you all!
oh my so glad to be back - have been in commercial sw trenches for quite a while, last couple years the DL/CV consultant, the parallel track of my life is the GAN art - mostly hanging out here on twitter as @glagolista
