I’d love to hear more about that.
Hi, I am Federico, I am Italian but I live in Finland. I am an aerospace engineer with a passion for data statistical analysis , ML and DL discovered during my PhD.
I have already attended the Deeplearning specialization course held by Andrew Ng but I would like to make my hands dirtier. I am working as a commissioning engineer but I would like to find a new life in the world of ML/DL.
Hi, everyone! I am Iago Breno, computer engineer from an inner city of Bahia, Northeast of Brazil. I am currently doing my master’s degree in University of São Paulo on the capital’s campus. I am working on computer vision with deep learning. More specifically, the research is about deep learning model’s behavior on images with the presence of adverse weather conditions like rain and haze.
@jeremy The first time I heard about deep learning was in 2014 when I watched your presentation at TED. It was an important and special point in my career. Thank you.
Hello! My name is Marcos and I’m a Data Scientist at B2W @ Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. I’m finishing my master’s degree at USP - Universidade de São Paulo focusing on improvements on the End-to-End Deep Learning Models to Speech Synthesis on Portuguese. I had my first contact on Machine Learning on 2015 during a lecture and decided to focus on deep learning since 2016.
Hi all,
I’m Andrea from Italy. Partner and CTO at Quantyca a consultancy firm specialized in data management and Co-founder at Blindata a startup foclaized on GDPR
Hello!
Happy to be a part of the fast.ai cohort V3 live!
I am Arul Bharathi, currently working as a Data Scientist Intern @ Realtor.com, Vancouver. I have completed the offline version of fast.ai V2 and have been using all the techniques extensively in my work for deep learning model training. I have realized how important and essential fastai turns out to be in the life of a Deep Learning Data Scientist (especially in Computer Vision). For instance, I have implemented @jeremy technique of one cycle and cyclical momentum for learning rates and have seen a lift in our image classifier.
Happy to learn more and develop more!
My next set of interest lies in advanced image similarity and image recommendation.
Hi all,
I’m Hoang Phan from Viet Nam, currently working as Machine Learning Engineer @ Zalora. I have learned a alot from fast.ai V2 and used the old fastai library to solve our problems. So I’m very excited to be here and learn about new fastai library.
Hi,
I am Satya ram, from Hyderabad, India. I am beginner of DL with good fundamentals in ML. From past few days, I straching the surface of DL & NLP and they are interesting topics to learn. Really existed to join this course.
Hi, I am Ajit, another software engineer from India. Thanks Rachel and Jeremy for creating this course. I am very excited to learn and spread it forward.
Second time for me, but I am pumped. Life interfered last time, but looking forward to this one I’m a data scientist but most of my problems end up being solvable with statistical modelling or heuristics. I’m looking to fully take the step into ML based workflows.
Jason from Australia. I’ve been through the first course which I’ve found really useful. I’m keen to see the material again, and also to get to know pyTorch 1.0. I heard Jeremy talk about building the Fast.AI 1.0 library on twimlai, which I thought was interesting and I will spend some time having a look at how that was done too. Awesome course - thanks!
Hi folks - Ben from Brisbane, Australia here.
Longtime dev (Python and Swift) aiming to learn and apply ML/ DL techniques in both professional and personal projects. Other than toying with a LSI/ NLP a while back, I’m pretty much a noob. Like others have expressed, very grateful to both @Jeremy and @Rachel for donating their time and energy. Hope I can do it justice, learn some new skills and maybe build some cool stuff along the way.
Hello everyone!
I’m John and I currently live near San Francisco, CA. I’m a software engineer with about 7 years professional experience doing mostly full-stack web development, but I quit my job last December to study ML and DL full time. I’ve taken the courses on Coursera as well as the fast.ai classes online (and fast.ai part 2 in person), so I’m hoping to solidify the concepts and get updated on the new versions of PyTorch and FastAI 1.0.
I’m especially interested in applying DL to audio. This summer, a few fastai students and I competed in an audio classification Kaggle challenge and got 39th place out of 558 using the techniques from fastai. I’m planning to get a blog post out summarizing our approach and how it might be improved in the future.
I’ve spent the last few months learning Tensorflow and exploring how to train and deploy models on the Google Cloud Platform at scale as well as taking the course “Creative Applications of Deep Learning with Tensorflow” on kadenze.com.
If anyone has done any work on audio source separation or polyphonic pitch detection, I’d love to chat! PM me on here, and I’ll have a link to my blog in my profile as soon as its online. Cheers!
John
Hi,
This is Rajesh here. Eager to learn the techniques in deep learning and keep myself engaged in the learning. Working on a Kaggle competition now. Looking forward to interacting in fast ai forums.
Best,
Hello, I am Shubham. I have started working on NLP based projects in my profession and looking forward to up my skills here.
Hello Marcos,
I’ve studied at USP too some time ago. In the last 2 years I’ve been studying Machine Learning in order to change careers. Your Master’s Research is very interesting, I’d love to connect to you and talk about your research.

Hi my name is Kaspar. I am an it-consultant looking forward to use fastai for medical research. I have previously done part one with the twimlai studygroup.
Hi! I’m Vince in Austin, Texas, USA. I’m originally from Canada and I have a math and physics background. I can’t wait to start this class! I’ve heard so many good things about it.
Hi everyone, my name is Yeng. I am from Minnesota and am working on a M.S. in statistics. I am a research specialist for a local community college.
Brandon from Hawaii. I’m a security engineer working for a small business focused on cybersecurity looking to expand our use of ML/AI.
