I’m looking for images of sunsets on ImageNet, to try to build a “Sunset detector” which can tell the difference between sunsets and non-sunsets, but I can’t find any sunset images on ImageNet. I don’t have a lot of experience with ImageNet, so I figured I’d ask here in case someone knows how to navigate it better than I do.
When I search ImageNet directly for “Sunset”, I get:
9
1Your query sunset is not available yet. ImageNet is still under construction. Please click here to find out what we have.
I then went to WordNet and searched for “Sunset” and got these results:
{15194295} <noun.time>[28] S: (n) sunset#1 (sunset%1:28:00::), sundown#1 (sundown%1:28:00::) (the time in the evening at which the sun begins to fall below the horizon)
direct hypernym / inherited hypernym / sister term
part holonym
antonym
{11538209} <noun.phenomenon>[19] S: (n) sunset#2 (sunset%1:19:00::) (atmospheric phenomena accompanying the daily disappearance of the sun)
{07358615} <noun.event>[11] S: (n) sunset#3 (sunset%1:11:00::) (the daily event of the sun sinking below the horizon)
I tried using the wordnet ID to construct the following ImageNet links:
http://www.image-net.org/synset?wnid=n15194295
http://www.image-net.org/synset?wnid=n11538209
http://www.image-net.org/synset?wnid=n07358615
But in all cases I get an empty result from ImageNet.
