One thing I was going to do is in colaboratory go ahead and rewrite (almost verbatim) the course v1 and notice and explain how each difference is set up in the new library with a side by side function comparison to help ease people in the v2 from something they can directly look at.

I think that would be great, but I’m not sure the highest level APIs are stable enough yet for that to make sense.

What I’m really looking for is to just capture the key points I make in each walk-thru, with any additional context that helps to explain what’s going on.

However, one thing that could be great for streaming would be to use twitch which is used by gamers and is made for streaming your screen

Yes I think that’s the best option if Skype doesn’t work out, or if there are too many people trying to join.

Using zoom would be another great option. It provides upto 100 participants in the free version and it’s very easy for everyone to join using a single URL. There is a limit of 40 mins in the free version though

40 mins isn’t really enough…

I have been super impressed with Zoom. I haven’t looked into the non-free versions though.

Hey @jeremy ! We’re using a paid zoom plan by Sam Charrington @sbc for the community Meetups over at TWiML. I asked Sam and you’re welcome to use it. I’ll send you the login details via PM if you want to. Zoom always worked really well for us!

FYI that embedded video isn’t working - apparently embedding is turned off for it. But I was able to watch it in YouTube fine. Is does look good!

another good (and free, also as in freedom and privacy) is jitsi webtool: https://meet.jit.si/
having said that, i haven’t tested it with that many participants…
but it can stream to youtube and record to dropbox

edit: just reading the thread, zoom (paid) is tried and tested so make sense to use it

for everyone joining, you can launch zoom in the browser if you’re using Chrome, otherwise you have to download and install it.

Another great feature of zoom is it will let everybody make sure their audio and mic are working before things are live so hopefully there will be less “Is it you or me” issues.
