Fast.ai course on Surface Book 2?

Hi all,

I’m considering trying to run the course on my Surface Book 2 (i7) which has a NVIDIA GTX 1050 (2GB GDDR5) graphics card and Windows 10. Specs

Has anyone tried this and am I wasting my time?

I got free access to AWS credits (within reason) at work, but running fast.ai on SageMaker is fairly time consuming (just boot strap time is about 20 minutes). I’m considering trying to run the course on spot GPU instances instead. Any thoughts on that?
