About a week ago, @jeremy suggested a data science project: looking at excess deaths (2020 vs 2019).
Since the data for each country is on a separate website, in a different format, a usable dataset actually needs quite a bit of pre-processing. But such data would be incredibly valuable!
So I thought I would get started with a repo that collects this data and puts it in a standard format. So far, I’ve added deaths in the UK and the Netherlands. I’m planning to add more countries soon, but any help is appreciated (especially for non-English speaking countries).
