Back here after 5 years, thanks Jérémy

Hi,

when I discovered fast.ai in 2019, I was a soon-to-be Data Scientist in training, in France.

I followed Jeremy’s course religiously, started a small “meetup” in Lille (Northern France) for people who wanted to learn Deep Learning with me.

Fastai led me to earn some medals on Kaggle, which in turn got me my few Computer Vision job in Paris.

The meetup in Lille turned into an event sponsored by local companies with hundreds or registrants.
I ended up teaching Deep Learning and Computer Vision at a local university.

Then I stopped coming here, because I transitionned into Data Engineering (what french companies needed, more than CV / DL).

But what I learned in @jeremy 's courses helped me there as well (as we also become quite good in Python).

Today more than 75 000 people follow me on Linkedin for my tips on Data Science, Data Engineering and freelancing.

A lot of this was made possible by Jeremy’s in-depth trainings, so I also created free trainings on Python and Git which have been downloaded thousands of time.

I don’t have anything else to say, probably won’t come back to these forums as I am far from DL nowadays, but I wanted to come back and say thank you to @jeremy

I hope everything is going great for you.

Once again, thank you very much.

Benjamin, from France.

Hello,

Over time, I transitioned into Data Engineering, as that was more in demand among French companies than Computer Vision or Deep Learning. Even then, what I learned in Jeremy’s courses continued to help me—especially the strong Python foundations. Today, more than 75,000 people follow me on LinkedIn for my content about Data Science, ExperianCredit Login report Data Engineering, and freelancing. Much of this journey was made possible by Jeremy’s in-depth training, which inspired me to create my own free courses on Python and Git that have been downloaded thousands of times. I may not return to the forums since I’m no longer deeply involved in DL, but I wanted to come back and say thank you. I truly hope everything is going well for you. Once again, thank you very much.
