AWS do not have sufficient p2.xlarge capacity

(anton) #1

hello

when i try to start my AWS instance i see this error:

Error starting instances
We currently do not have sufficient p2.xlarge capacity in the Availability Zone you requested (us-west-2b). Our system will be working on provisioning additional capacity. You can currently get p2.xlarge capacity by not specifying an Availability Zone in your request or choosing us-west-2c, us-west-2a.

first time it happened yesterday. today error still occurs

if i am not mistaken fastai AMI bound with particular Availability Zone, i can not just change it. second problem is that i will lose all data and code i made for learning

i also can not create a technical support case with my support plan -_-

what can be a solution?

You should be able to use any availability zone. You can also create a snapshot of your volume and copy it.
