A Great study group on the first half of lecture 4.
We clarified the importance of zeroing out the require_grad function and the rationale behind it. We also went through the answers to the lecture 4 questions from this thread.
Here are the questions:
How is a greyscale image represented on a computer? How about a color image?
Images are represented by arrays with pixel values representing the content of the image. For grayscale images, a 2-dimensional array is used with the pixels representing the grayscale values, with a range of 256 integers.
