I’m a researcher and published author fields including Bayesian signal processing, system identification, machine learning, nonlinear signal processing, speech and audio quality assessment and enhancement, and mobile and optical communications.
In 2012, I received a doctorate in Electrical Engineering from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. Currently, I’m an associate professor at the Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ), where, for the last five years, I have been teaching mobile communication systems, detection and estimation theory and audio processing. During this time I have advised or co-advised seven students at undergraduate, master and doctoral levels.
I’m a member of the IEEE and the Audio Engineering Society (AES). Outside of work, I am an avid tennis player and a cat dad.
