I have been working on ML (on and off) for about 20 years. For my PhD work I made a system to train pilots to land planes without needing direct instruction from an expert copilot. I’ve given talks at Scala Days, Pydata, and dozens of meetups.

I experiment with alternative learning methods. I’ve read about 100 books on the topic, wrote a manifesto or two, and founded three edu things so far: Hacker Retreat, Data Science Retreat, and Deep Learning Retreat.
