Turning a time series into an image

I’m very interested in the lecture (1 or 2) in which a time series (univariate) was turned into a single image. I’m in a hospital at the moment where there are many many time series for EKG/ECG, blood pressure, heart rate, oxygen etc. It would be really interesting to start turning them into images.

Does anybody know what the method was called that was demonstrated in the lectures? The resultant image was a series of vertical and horizontal lines.

Does anybody know how to get these scripts to run on Jupyter notebook?

Would love to feed in a custom time series and see what happens.
