If I already have Anaconda on my windows computer do I need to install it on the linux subsystem too before starting?
There’s no need to install in a Linux subsystem if you are planning to use on Windows directly. Follow the procedure at Howto: installation on Windows

Question: I got all the way through the fastai load…but the last step in instructions said: “source activate fastai”. But my console said no such command existed…told me to use “conda activate fastai” but that doesn’t seem to do anything. When I go to open Jupyter Notebook (fastai), the cosole flashes, but I get no notebook. And when I open an existing notebook with ml lesson 1 and run code in the notebook, error message says “fastai not recognized”. I’m at my wits end.
