You can render blocks of math by wrapping with $$

$$
E=MC^2
$$

That results in output like:

E=MC^2

You can render inline math by wrapping with a single $ like so: $E=MC^2$.

Which looks like this: E=MC^2.

The notation used is tex for mathjax. There’s a good quick reference available.
