Was wondering if someone could clarify the difference between volumetric convolution
layers and spatial convolution layers
Have seen both of these terms being used in a paper and wasn’t sure what they meant.

Was the paper talking about 3D data? Sounds to me like volumetric convolution works on a 3D input while spatial convolution works on a flat 2D input.
