I would like to hear about successful fastai learners such as this small team of students.
Could you list some and their projects ?

I think the question is value. There may be no value for the Google organisation to do X but for a charity their use of their AI is very important. The gunshot detection of poachers would be a good example. Professional "AI"ers need to be paid so they will work on specific areas although they might do personal AI projects outside work. It would be interesting to know how many professional AI-ers there are in the China, India, Russia and the USA compared with people just using AI to solve their own domain problems.
I know Fast-AI is self named but I also think you need to acquire a deep understand and that is quiet difficult knowing where to start.
