As we work towards democratizing AI education, we find that language data is hard to find for most purposes that make AI products more accessible to people from all walks of life. The most potent example of this is in image captioning and machine translation, which are technologies that can be used everywhere from early childhood education to accessibility. This is why (with a few friends) I’m working on building a service to support and maintain crowdsourced translations of the MS-COCO image captions dataset to as many languages as there are communities represented in this forum and beyond.
